My Daughter's birthday
So it's official...I'm the father of a teenager. My baby girl turns 13 on Friday. She's such a wonderful girl and I'm lucky to have her as my daughter. I'm very proud of her.

Even more updates......
Well I decided to NOT scrap this blog and replace it with my very own fancy-schmancy PHP designed blog. Why you ask? I just don't have the time at the moment to design something new. The bones are there, and yes, I even white boarded it but there's just not enough time in the day to complete everything. And let's face it...why reinvent the wheel???
So from now on...this is my blogging spot. So let it be written, so let it be done.

Moving Soon!
So I haven't had much time to update the blog as most of my time has been spent building my website. The site (curtisjhaynes.com) will be used as a portfolio of my development and will also include a blog in addition to links to sites, photos and possibly building a calendar to schedule events.
Hopefully it won't take much longer before I roll it out but with the holidays coming, it might not happen until January.
Domain name selection was through GoDaddy and it will be hosted through them as well.
Stay tuned and let's see how it all turns out!

Time For An Update
Okay, so I've been a little remiss in posting to my blog. I did get one comment (yay!) on the last posting. Football related. I didn't want this to turn into a sports blog but hey, I get a little excited about LSU football.
I'm working on my next post and I promise it won't be football related. :) So to bring this thing up to date - LSU has lost 3 games - Florida, Georgia and Alabama. In all fairness we were waxed by the Gators and they look very strong. I'm still a little upset about the Georgia and 'Bama games. Our freshman QB gave those away. Even with the defense giving up all that yardage - we still could have won those. Anyway, I can see the potential in Jarrett Lee but he has to be smarter with the ball. We'll be very strong next year. Hopefully we finish this season with only those 3 losses.
In case anyone is wondering, I'm picking the Gators to go all the way. If that happens, that'll be 3 SEC Champs in a row.
See, I get started on football and it just keeps rolling. Stay tuned for more work related postings!
Geaux Tigers!

One Down
Well, the first game is under their belts and it was over by halftime. The O-line and D-lines were impressive and it doesn't look like we're going to miss a beat from last year in that respect. However, I am not impressed with the QB situation. Or the punting unit for that matter. Punting is just horrendous!
At QB, Hatch and Lee did just enough to get by and after seeing them for the first time, we clearly need work in that area. I noticed that Lee stays locked on to his primary receiver and doesn't check down. Which explains the pick he gave up. He'll have to change that, and soon. He won't be able to get away with that in SEC play. The DB's will eat his lunch. Hatch was ok...not great...just ok. He has the better speed of the two but Lee has the better arm for downfield throws. I'd like to see Jordan Jefferson but that probably won't happen until N. Texas.
Charles Scott was the man! 16 for 160. He was like poetry in motion slicing through the defense. I wanted to see more of Keiland Williams though. We have a great backfield and they're all good in their own right.
I didn't intend to have my blog turn into a sports blog, buy hey, it's college football and I may need to vent about the games this season.

It's Almost Here!
I haven't posted anything new for a while...picked up a contract and been a bit busy. I'll try to do better but we all know what starts this weekend. Unless you're living on the outer regions of Antarctica you know that college football season is set to kickoff this weekend.
So without further explanation, I give you the prep to Tiger football - 2008
